"Pencils of Promise" makes it on Perez Hilton!

One of our upcoming charity events for "Cipriani Gives Back" is an organization that I feel extremely passionate about! Pencils of Promise is a non-profit organization that builds schools, libraries, and dormitories in impoverished and developing countries around the world. All of the volunteers living in the developing nations are unpaid and the organization has hardly any administration cost. I randomly stumbled upon the POP website last summer and was very much inspired by it's mission statement. Since then, I knew this would be a perfect organization to help raise money for! It has been amazing to watch POP gain media exposure. Especially this weekend when Pencils of Promise was talked about on Perez Hilton as a "Worthwhile Cause!" The Britt ladies love to see the philanthropies we support gain such great press! The Britt Bunnies (and our two honorary bunnies for the day, Carianne and Omar) are currently organizing a fantastic little birthday celebration for miss mama bunny herself (Amy). Naturally, we found ourselves inspired over a champagne happy hour brainstorm in our newly claimed residence in the Cipriani Wall Street library. (Ohh, how I love my job).

As our passionate little charity advocate and philanthropist bunny, Amy could never have a party that celebrates only her own birthday, but wanted to incorporate a way to give back as well. So we thought instead of birthday party with gifts, we would plan a Haitian relief charity party. As you know, Haiti suffered from a 7.0 earthquake on January 12- the earthquake is the worst catastrophical event in the region in over 200 years, which left the country in shambles. The country is very much in need of relief aid so the Britt Bunnies are taking it upon ourself to help the Haiti victims at every opportunity we can.

If Amy Britt has one birthday gift request, it is to DONATE to this important cause! We will provide a link as an rsvp for the event where you can purchase tickets/make a donation. If all you Britt Media Relations fans are interested in attending the event, it will be held in the private Cipriani vault with music and drinks to celebrate life and take a moment of silence to remember all those lost. Model Castings, fun or torture?

Hello My Fellow Fashionistas,

One of my tasks today, and all other days, here at Britt Media Relations is model castings for our fashion dinner series. Amy had a bit of a guilty conscience about judging all the models. Who is going to mind have a bunch of male models coming in every couple of weeks? Come on ladies [and gay besties], there could be could be worse tasks at the office. Why hand this assignment over to Moi? I have gone on a few castings myself before, so I knew the drill. I never really had that much luck granted I am slightly vertically challenged.

On any day you never know what will walk through the door. We’ve seen girls who should have retired long ago and others who have difficulty with a simple zipper. Although, runway walks are really the make or break for us, and most break like: girls who walk like they are on a frozen lake that will give way under them at any moment or guys who power walk like they are in suburbia and just need a fanny pack to complete the look. Not to mention those who are so fierce they can't stop snarling. In all seriousness though, we have been really lucky to get some amazing models that have become our favorites like Kaitlyn Raymond and Anastatisa Popovch. Even though, after every casting I feel like the most judgmental person ever, I know it is the nature of the beast.

Luckily not every model comes to us through castings, we have several favorite friends who make some guest appearances when their schedule permits:

One of our resident Britt girls, Molly, been tapped to walk the runway! While she sees herself as more of a creative girl, she has the looks to knock anyone over on the runway!

Natalie Gal, a phenomenal model and incredibly talented actress who simply glides across the runway, has a heart of gold and is a fantastic friend.

Brett Helsham, a former Britt girl herself, has gone from pr to modeling and made her way to acting but is now getting her degree in interior design. We hope she comes to decorate the Britt Media Relations offices and brings Gustav!

Lastly but not least, Wayne Alan Wilcox is also a fantastic actor and model, most known for his role on Gilmore Girls but you may know him from his part in the movie Rent or Full Monty. We could gush about his stage work but we’ve already said too much!

Charity Chic! [aka Julia]

Something that sets the Britt ladies apart is that we make a conscience effort to always give back to society. Making a difference is something very close to our heart. Everyone is aware of how much we love to throw fabulous parties so we try to balance luxury by hosting at least two charity events a month... And we try to get you guys involved in them as well (hint hint ;-) because every little bit counts and all of us together can actually make a difference.

That in mind, we are thrilled to announce we have just become the agency of record for one of our favorite charities, MUSIC UNITES which was founded by the wonderful Michelle Edgar who single handedly created, started and is running this amazing non-profit charity which gives through a variety of other music charities. Talk about a power lady, who we absolutely love and admire. A lil insight into some upcoming events, with Music Unites, we have a private, swanky dinner party at the house of Grammy award winning, Joshua Bell in downtown NYC. (Tickets are limited and $500 if you are interested) for the release of his new CD "At Home with Friends". Lot's going on in the charity area- stay tuned for photos, lots of updates and potential invites for some lucky Britt Banter readers!

Hey Fashion Lovers!

Your resident fashion girl [Natalie in case you didn’t know] at Britt Media Relations is here to fill you in on our newest adventure! We just started preparing for Fashion Week, yes, THE Fashion Week. Our Cipriani Fashion Show dinners have been growing with popularity and exposure [thank you everyone] and have in turn gotten us the opportunity to produce some of the ACTUAL shows for fashion week. The backstage and behind the scenes should be insane [and incredibly entertaining], but nothing the Britt Bunnies can’t handle! So, we are producing three days of fashion shows 800 guests, celebs [including one of THE celebs of this year, you know who im talking about, no need to show our “hand”]….. And yes that means craziness for us and non-stop LOLs for you! Incredibe walk through today with over 150 foot ceilings, ridiculous sound system [the same as Madison Square Garden] and a 100 foot runway!!! Welcome to a blog written for everyone who loves high end fashion, music, film, television, culture and philanthropy.

The ladies here at Britt Media Relations [hence the "Britt"] are part of a team who handle strategic pr campaigns and produce private luxury events around the world including movie premiers, fashion shows and private bars. If you belong to the our Libertine Society then you've probably been hand selected to attend some of the parties [if you're not a member, then maybe you should think about applying]. They are also fun caring girls who make it a priority to volunteer, give back help raise money for charities.
